Pilot Flight Release Procedures – Helpful hints

Yeager Test Now Online

The Aerospace Education Program for Senior Members test, known as the Yeager test, is now on line.  CAP members can now go to the web site, sign in, and take either version of the test.  If they pass the test, they can print out a certificate of completion.  The member should make a copy of the certificate of completion, and send it to the wing DAE (or, if on Region staff, to the Region DCS/AE).  The DAE (or the DCS/AE) will treat the certificate of completion just like a CAPF 126, and send the Yeager Award Certificate (CAPC 20) to the unit commander for presentation.  The DAE will then fill out a CAPF 127, and send it to National Headquarters, as usual, to credit the member in the National Database, and have their name appear in the CAP NEWS.

Also, the Aerospace Education Officer's specialty track (215) tests for Technician, Senior, and Master, are also on line.  A member can take the test, and if they pass it, print out the certificate of completion as proof for their commander to sign off that particular achievement block on Attachment 1, CAPP 215 checklist.  A member cannot take all the tests at the same time for the 215 specialty track.  Instead, if they pass it successfully, there is a waiting period of four (4) months before the next test can be taken.  This is to reflect the four months minimum time required by CAPP 215 between upgrades within the specialty.

Effectively immediately National Headquarters will begin collecting wing
dues along with the National, Region, and Bookstore fees for new members.
Cadet New Members and Renewals: $30, Senior New members: $75, Seniors Renewals: $65, Cadet Sponsor (New): $25, cadet Sponsor (Renewal): $20

Call the Personnel Office at National Headquarters at 334-953-5191 if you have any
questions.

Normal monthly meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at the Blackland Aviation Building, second floor Conference Room, located at the Waco Regional Airport.
